Welcome to the DomesdayBook.com website which will give you direct access to a range of Domesday related publications including the latest Digital Domesday County Edition from Alecto.

Our oldest public record "Domesday Book" is reckoned to be one of the three most famous and important books in the world (alongside the Bible and the Koran). The original 900-year-old document (in 5 volumes) is still available to view at The National Archives in Kew but for any form of study or consultation we must normally rely on secondary sources. Access to some of those sources is possible through direct links from this website. In addition, a brief summary of the history of Domesday Book can be viewed by clicking here or from the side bar.
